Unfortunately, another celebrity marriage is on the brink of ending. Robin Thicke and Paula Patton have decided to separate after almost 10 years of marriage and being a couple since teenagers. The couple have a 3 year-old son together.

According to PEOPLE, the couple sent out a statement today stating their mutual decision to separate:

“We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.”

This comes on the hinges of recent speculation of Robin Thicke crossing the boundaries of flirting with women, open marriages and cheating. Refer to blog post “Thin Line Between Flirting and Disrespect! Insights on Robin Thicke! I posted this when Robin Thicke was spotted and photographed at a club in Paris dancing rather close with another women . The couple has not provided a reason for their decision to separate.

My Insights!

Unfortunately, it is sad to see a couple with so much history together to separate. But two people grow apart. Sometimes fame opens your eyes to different experiences and viewpoints that are not shared between two people. Many times people separate and eventually reconcile. Sometimes, two people need to experience life on their own, especially when they have only dated and been in a relationship with each other throughout their teens, twenties and thirties. Many times this happens and two people eventually drift back to each other. They realize that the grass isn’t greener separated. Whatever their reason is, I wish them the best and hope they remain amicable and put their son as their top priority.
