Welcome to my blog! The purpose is to share my personal experiences in coping with divorce, and my journey in becoming a life-fulfilled divorcee.  The reality-based evolution of me being happy in my own skin as a 30-something divorcee. I also share reality-based tales of marriage, relationships,  and insights in celebrity and trending news around relationship matters.  My style provides authenticity, quirkiness, and comic-relief. I hope my posts provide emotional support to other divorcees, those seeking a way out of their current unhappy marriage,, couples seeking to reconcile, single-parents and all women and men who aspire for love and just enjoy reading about others realities.

The origination of this blog developed from frequent inquiries into my divorce process and how I was able to transition quickly in an appearingly “drama-free divorcee”. By this, meaning a single mother of two that has a solid co-parenting relationship with her ex-husband, stable family household, successful career, active social life and exudes confidence to begin dating.  At the same time succeeding in completing the divorce process without some of the financial headaches, emotional burdens that many married couples fear of or divorcees continue to agonize about.

My journey is not complete and I hope to share some of the methods I took to avoid an overbearing divorce process while discussing my eventful  journey in becoming a happily divorcee. Sample posts include the internal struggle with the decision of getting a divorce,  deciding whether you need a lawyer, custody matters, working on a manageable relationship with your husband/ father of your children, forgiving, keeping the drama at home and not letting it impact your professional life, facing your children, maintaining balance with a social life, dating and getting back out there without the appearance you are “baggage ridden” and of course commentary on celebrity life struggles in coping with their own relationship drama.

Uprooted in California and seasoned in Washington D.C.’s dating scene; I am a New York City metropolitan transplant that has a zest for the city’s fruitful offerings. I am in the process of becoming a Certified Relationship Coach. By day I am a Wall Street finance professional that has years of business writing to investors under her belt. I am a graduate from the coveted historically black college Hampton University. I also am a Certified Public Accountant and has a Master’s of Business Association in Finance from Washington D.C.’s American University. My credo, “Let Life Flow” and “Carpe Diem” is how I approach love, friendships and elevating new experiences.

Please follow my blog and hope my personal experiences will be helpful to you in managing your own relationship issues and alleviating some unnecessary missteps and stress that could prolong or intense the pain of ending your marriage or union. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Enjoy!

  6. Ok, you made me blink. You’ve gotta blog, I’ve got a blog but… I don’t follow the traditional format as to “when” to posting so when I saw your decision to follow me I just had to see who and what you were about. Lucky me and yes, you come strong. I like your defined energy, focus/dedication in presentation, oh yes; it’s good. Sorta’ like sprinklin’ your “main courses” with emotional Intel of which most refuse to do when bringing something to the table. Good to see the brightness of your shared lights.
