I came across this interesting article about a single mom’s dating struggles on Evan Marc Katz’s site. In her case men are interested…but only for a potential good time not for a relationship as they are in to her but do not want the responsibilities of dealing with the children and ex-husband. This woman’s experience and Evan’s advice is my reality of my date-life as a divorcee. My approach to dating has evolved like Evan’s advice suggests. I shifted from dating men without any attachments to the 40-something divorced with kids. However, the challenge remains on the ultimate time you are available compared to a woman who has no responsibilities. The divorced are enjoying their new post-marriage life and well…. the journey continues. So I say just be happy within,  enjoy life’s blessings, your sprouts and eventually one day maybe the perfect match will come. But don’t waste your pretty dwelling on it. This topic of rapper Future upset with singer Ciara spending time with son with new beau NFL quarterback Russell Wilson and pictures available for the media to see  has been heavily debated today. Many are in favor of Ciara moving on to a more positive role model beau Russell and he being a part of Ciara and her son’s life.

Kevin Hart Discusses His Ex-Wife Torrei and Fiancee Eniko Now Amicable Relationship!

To promote the new movie “The Wedding Ringer”  actor/comedian Kevin Hart spoke with New York’s Power 105 radio statiomm The Breakfast Club,  and discussed the status of the relationship between his ex-wife Torrei Hart and   fiancée Eniko Parrish. According to Kevin the relationship between the two is amicable and is an improvement from the lack of communication between the two. Basically, Torrei initiated the peaceful relationship. Kevin discusses the exchange, the previous status of the relationship between the two women, Torrei attending his wedding, his current relationship with his ex-wife Torrei and timing of his proposal to Eniko on the same day of the premiere of Atlanta Exes.

I will not say that my divorce did not have any impact on my sprouts lives. I notice my son is at times more quiet than usual.  He has had to step up and be the man around the house in his father’s absence. My daughter well she is just too young to notice any difference, except that mommy and daddy have two different places to live, and wonders if she is going to daddy’s house or mommy’s house this weekend. I will say that she is quick to call out for daddy when she does not get her way. But I think being Daddy’s Little Girl and spoiled, her behavior would still be the same despite her parent’s status. The Freshly Divorced Phase- My One Year Recap! Independence, Dating, Laughter, Sadness, and Confidence.

As the one-year anniversary approaches to the Judge’s final consent to officially end my seven-year plus marriage….I can’t help to reflect on what a whirlwind year it has been. My temperament and experiences varied from exhilarating to at times feeling depressed. Taking a step back and studying my behavior from last summer until now… I can break out this past year in different behavioral patterns. The  phase of healing from the love and union of my marriage was predominately experienced from my divorce decision to the end of the filing process.  The progression in the past year can be broken into 4 distinct phases- Embracing Independence, Desperation in Not Being a Perpetual Single Divorcee, Lonely and Reclusive Period, and Embracing Reality and Loving Me Phase.
